Quan Doe (or just simply Q.D.), a perpetual student of urban life, is a native of Hollis, Queens. Although he was born in Flatbush Brooklyn (3/11/80) his family moved to Queens when he was 3 yrs old. Q.D. grew up in a musically inclined family. His uncle Napalm was signed to Priority records, his cousin Chuck Fingers helped build Dr. Dre’s record label Aftermath and is currently CEO of his own record company Drama Family. During his early teens Q.D. began engaging friends and classmates with braggadocios-style lyrics laced with popular urban themes. The song that influenced him to pick up the mic  was “One love” by Nas. “It made me feel like I was there, like I could actually see what he was saying. I thought to myself, I can do that! And I will do that!” While a student at Centenary College in New Jersey, he continued to captivate eager audiences with his ever broadening skill of melding original rhymes atop tight beats to deliver a sound reminiscent of Old School Hip Hop. As an equally gifted comedian, this entertainer is comfortable in front of the camera as well as on stage in front of live audiences. His other enthusiasms include marketing, basketball and video production. Q.D. holds center stage as well as center court and would have it no other way.

Quan Doe’s performance roster includes appearances at Justin’s, Pepper’s Lounge, The Elbow Room, Jimmy’s, Q Club, Club Nuves, Santos Party House and The Knitting Factory to name a few. Quan Doe admires the early Hip Hop music industry leaders whose concentrated efforts have culminate in achievement. His influences include Queens music pioneers Russell Simmons, Run DMC, LL Cool J and Nas. With a similar appetite for success and a craving for recognition, this artist is the benchmark for what to expect in the future of Hip Hop music culture.
